Three Bosnian refugee families talk about how they prepared their return to Bosnia after the war, after having lived in Denmark for several years.

This film consists of three short films, where three families talk about how they prepared their return to Bosnia. The Terzic family returned with two teenage sons after 9,5 years in Denmark, the Sejdic family returned after 9 years with three teenage daughters, and the Hamzic family returned after only 2,5 years in Denmark. How did they prepare their return? How did the children react? How are the families today, 5-10 years after their return?

The aim of the films is to inspire refugees to make the best out of their time in Denmark; how to prepare for a potential return to their home countries or how to build a better future in Denmark.
