Khatte: The choice of Freedom

Khatte is a documentary film about long-term street children, living in Kathmandu and two protagonists. First one is ex street kid Sushil Babu Chetri and second one is Lalit Shasi who runs non-government organization for children in need. Sushil is making street theater with street children on the street, trying to show alternative ways how to help them, but his task turns out not to be as easy as it seems. Lalit, despite the fact that there are no street kids in his orphanage, wants to safe three street kids from the street by giving them bed, food and safety. He faces reality of the street while struggling to convince children to choose safety instead of freedom of the street.
