White Sunshine Weather

20 minutes

The film explores the relationship between educators and residents at Denmark's largest institution for people with learning difficulties. Through mainly five residents and two educators we encounter a variety of educational and pedagogical initiatives, all aiming at ensuring the best possible life for the residents. Daily life and interactions in the department for the elderly act as a micro cosmos, displaying how Danish disability politics influence practice. Carefully filmed in close cooperation with all participants, residents and educators alike, the film provides insight into how “performance” can be an asset to anthropology.
